Produced by the Plymouth division of Chrysler from 1951-1953, the Plymouth Cranbrook is a practically designed automobile that replaced the Plymouth Special Deluxe. The car was created with a more conservative  crowd in mind, and aimed to please a market that was captivated by the “low and sleek look”.

For 1953, the boxier shape of the earlier production Cranbrooks was spruced up with straighter lines creating a sleeker and more modern styling. The windshield was now a one-piece unit (rather than the 2-piece from 1951-1952) and former long and short wheelbases were consolidated into a single 114 inch wheelbase. The full-sized automobile was offered as a 4-Door Sedan, 2-Door Coupe, 2-Door Hardtop Coupe, 2-Door Convertible and 3-Door Wagon.

This 1953 Plymouth Cranbrook is a very rare example with no rust. 2-Door convertible is finished in two-toned blue with a lovely Cortez Gray interior with Wedgewood Blue accents and contrasting red pinstriping. It also features its original wood and chrome steering wheel, matching blue convertible top cover and continental kit. Complete with a 217 cu in  engine with Hy Drive semi-automatic transmission. Fitted with a continental kit and wire wheel hub caps

Other notable features include:

  • Chromed and painted grille
  • Chrome bumpers
  • Continental kit
  • One-piece windshield
  • Driver’s side gauges
  • Push button radio
  • Center glovebox
  • Dual chromed mirrors

Eye-catching and classic. Don’t miss out on this sleek ride.
