The MGA was produced by MG division of the British Motor Corporation from 1955 to 1962.
A high-performance Twin-Cam model was added for 1958 and produced through 1960. Four-wheel disc brakes by Dunlop were fitted, along with Dunlop peg drive knock-off steel wheels similar to wheels used on racing Jaguars, unique to the Twin-Cam. Aside from the wheels, the only outside identifier was a “Twin-Cam” logo near the vent aside the bonnet. Many restored Twin-Cams, such as this one, are running more reliably today than they ever did during production. The Twin-Cam is extremely rare as just over 2,000 were ever produced.
One of only approximately 220 made that year, 1959 MGA Twin Cam Coupe prepped for racing. Fuel cell, roll bar and log book accompany the car. From a collection of significant MG’s, the car runs and drives beautifully and is street legal. Motor is fresh and completely rebuilt. The car is in exceptional condition throughout. California title.
