The top-of-the-line Chevrolet Master and Master Deluxe series was part of the GM line from ‎1933–1942. For 1938 Chevrolet Master and Master Deluxe were advertised with the simple slogan “The Car that is Complete!”

This 1938 Chevrolet Master Sedan is a solid body and good drive train. The car overall is solid and runs well.  Grille, hood ornament, bumpers and trim are very nice. The car comes with its original owner service policy showing the engine number I839264 (is also the VIN) which confirms the car has its original engine still in the car, and the serial number as 6HB0817289. The car was purchased new on 10/12/1938 from Frank Chevrolet Co. Dealership in Portland, Oregon.  Accessories found installed on the car are the original heater and it has two tail lights; the 2nd tail light was an option in 1938.  This is a sound car ready for restoration or just to get running with a mechanical refresh and enjoy as is.  The engine runs smooth, is missing the air cleaner and the car has not been driven in many years. The car appears to have an older paint job with period correct red pin striping; rear side fender has a dent, but the body appears solid. The brakes work but recommend a full brake reconditioning plus a new set of tires before driving. The interior appears to be original to the car, but shows wear. All the glass is intact, no cracking but we see some lamination separation.  Wiper arms are missing. The car has been garaged for many years, displayed and cared for in a clean environment as part of a large collection.
