A 1947 Standard Fourteen factory Drop Head Coupe commission # ED10579.  An unrestored survivor in very good condition.  The interior of the car is excellent, and the exterior is also in very good condition, with the usual small paint chips that have always been treated immediately.  The part of the piston between the top ring and the top of the piston opposite the valves on #1 piston has disintegrated.  The rest of the engine appears to be in good condition, the car ran excellent until the piston was damaged.  It was immediately shut down upon failure, and has not run since, so the engine can probably be rebuilt with just a replacement piston, or a complete engine rebuild.
