1952 Lincoln Capri Convertible
Mileage shown: 99997
Engine: 317 ci overhead valve V8
Transmission : Hydramatic automatic
The 1952 Lincoln Capri would supplant the Cosmopolitan as Lincoln’s top-of-the-line series. It was offered in three body styles: hardtop coupe, four-door sedan, and a convertible coupe featured here.
The Capri rode a 123-inch wheelbase with newly designed ball joint front suspension, recirculating-ball power steering, and jumbo drum brakes. A new integrated bumper/grille became a styling trend as did hiding the gas cap behind the rear license plate. The engine was Ford’s first ohv V8, a 317.5 cid producing 160 hp.
There were 1191 Capri convertible coupes produced in 1952. You rarely see a 1952 Lincoln Capri convertible and this one runs a drives good, and is an excellent good candidate for a full restoration.
