Absolutely stunning ground up restoration on a most unusual truck a superb collectors piece that will astound your friends and neighbors alike.
“My Uncle Bob bought this truck in the late 1950’s as a dump truck from a Navy auction in Sand Point, Seattle.
Our family put the Speed Wagon to work on every project until the mid-1990s. (It was a big event in my childhood when you went to the gravel pit in the REO).
In the late 1990s Uncle Bob took on the challenge of restoring the Speed Wagon.
After her restoration she retired from projects and moved on to parades and car shows. A great memory involves my children riding in the back in Whaling Days parades in Silverdale with their Great Uncle Bob beaming at the wheel.
This spring I freshened up the breaking system.
We will miss her but it’s time to let her go (I think).”
