We rescued this car from an apartment underground garage where the car was sitting for many years. after a good wash and placing the car on the lift we came to the following conclusions: The body has some dings and chips in the paint but no rust. The underside is rust free. This car is a good candidate for a restoration. The top is in very good condition. The bumpers rust free.
We did a complete safety inspection and then performed the following work based on our inspection:
Replaced the driveshaft and doughnut.
Replaced the leaking brake master cylinder.
Replaced the fluid damaged brake booster. All the brakes are now in good condition with good calipers, pads and rotors. The fluid system is completely flushed.
Replaced the leaking clutch master cylinder and flushed the system.
Drained and filled the engine coolant, engine oil, transmission and differential fluids.
Replaced the non functioning fuel level sender.
Replaced the spark plugs.
We performed a complete Spica fuel injection tune and set up, using a gas spectrum gas analyzer to ensure the correct fuel mixture. Proper fuel pressure verified. The rear fuel filter and intake fuel sock are new. The fuel lines have been inspected and replaced as needed.
We fixed the non functioning drivers side power window. The interior is in good condition.
We repaired the leaking and damaged exhaust and replaced missing nuts and bolts.
We tested the lights, window wipers and heater fan.
A good driving car with no immediate needs remaining. This car has the optional Marelli Plex electronic ignition system. A very good desirable and expensive factory option. The top is in very good condition. The transmission shifts well and the differential does not make noise.
