1974 Volkswagen Type 181 Thing 1585 cc 1.6L 1B Carb Air Cooled with a 4 speed manual transmission. The Thing began life as a jeep-type vehicle for the German army with civilian sales beginning in 1971. It quickly became popular in the US and Mexico. This particular example has been refurbished and finished in yellow with new black upholstery and canvas roof. This is a garage kept vehicle. The engine on this vehicle is running properly. Overall, this vehicle’s exterior is clean. The interior is clean and in good condition. All power equipment is functioning properly. This vehicle has a smooth shifting transmission. A perfect toy for family fun use.
