This is a 25th Anniversary edition, the 1964 Mercury that features the “Breezeway” vertical sliding power rear window, and “25th Anniversary” logo on the horn ring.

Breezeway rear window is angled opposite a normal rear window and is power operated to raise up and down. The rear window operates! All other windows operate but are manual.

This is a solid and original 1964 Mercury Breezeway. The exterior appears to have some paint repair, but the paint overall is good in the original color of Wimbledon White. The original turquoise interior is very nice and presentable.

The car was undercoated when new and the body and floors are still very solid. The body is straight. It has had some paint repair on right quarter panel and on left front fender with evidence of past minor rust repair at lower rear of left front fender and in rocker panel ahead of right rear wheel.

The grille, trim/brightwork and hubcaps are all present and are in very nice condition. The dash and steering wheel is also in very good condition. The gauges and warning lights all work and the radio works as well! The Interior is overfall very original and nice! The front and rear seats also in very good condition, but please note there is a split seen on the side of the front seat (see photos).

The lights all work. The engine will run but needs a new carburetor to run smoothly. The engine sounds good; were no abnormal noises or sounds when running. We were not able to drive the car due to the tires and brakes, but the transmission does go into drive. The car will need the brake work; the brake pedal does not move so the master cylinder is apparently stuck. The parking brake does hold, however.
The tires show well but are over ten years old and need to be replaced before driving. This car comes with the owner’s manual and has a spare tire and jack.
Overall, this Mercury is a solid car, that really looks great now and could great car to make the mechanical repairs to and drive. The car has been a part of a large private collection of vehicles on exhibit display in a clean and heated building, regularly cared for and maintained for at least the past 10 years.
