1975 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow LWB 4Dr. Saloon, Ex-CEO Tesco

Originally ordered to be built specifically January of 1975 by Sir Leslie Porter who was the chairman and managing director of Tesco Stores. He is known to be the only owner of the car until he sold it off or traded it in. The only other known owner purchased it in 1999. He documents the service maintenance schedules up to 1989 Where it showed 85,485 miles. Extremely well documented service up to 66,000 miles. It currently shows 2428 miles.

Imported from England to the US. V-8 412 C.I. engine with a 3-speed automatic transmission.

Astral Blue with blue velour cloth interior. *

Comes with its instruction handbook and extensive factory records of the manufacturing of the vehicle showing build, inspections, warranty claims and special features added. Built to local U.K specs such as right-hand drive, mph speedometer, headlamps, stereo, interference suppressor, glazing windscreen, side window and backlight. The customer wanted a wood rimmed steering wheel but the manufacturer would not allow it.

As it sits today the vehicle is in spectacular condition for its age. Paint has some wear but as it sits it looks original. Interior has held up well, also with minor ware. Wood trim and dash compliments the interior, there is some minor flaking on door panels in places. Chrome has minor pitting in spots and a minute dent to the driver’s side rear bumper.

This car is ready to be enjoyed. Great addition for a collection or a Sunday drive. Will need a significant service to be fully roadworthy but runs and drives without incident. The car has been in storage for over a decade.

*Some customers didn’t want a leather upholstery or preferred a partly leather upholstery. For these customers other materials were available, like Parkertex Savoy Velvet (Parkertex for short) and cloth. These interiors were offered at extra cost and could imply a lengthening of the production time.
