1949 Chevrolet Styleline Deluxe Fastback Sedan NO RESERVE

1954 Chevrolet 235 cu. in. replacement engine with a 3 speed (3-on-the-tree shift column) transmission. Car has been mechanically gone through. Has full pressure oiling with new inserts and a PH8A spin on remote filter (30 weight oil). New pistons, rings, wrist pins and bearings. Balanced. Hydraulic valves with 260-degree cam (reground). Ported and polished heads, larger intake, stainless valves and hardened seats. HEI Ignition. Offenhauser intake. Dual Weber 2bbl carbs from Langdon’s Stovebolt. Fenton Cast header into Magnaflow mufflers. 3:55 rear end setup from Patrick’s. Later model self-actuating brakes, rear sway bar and gas shocks.

This vehicle runs and drives well. Aesthetically it needs some work. The brightwork is in okay condition. There is some pitting with little rust. There are small dents in both the driver’s side and passenger’s side chrome and the front passenger’s side quarter panel. There is a smaller dent above the passenger’s side headlight and driver’s side door. The paint is cracked and chipped in many places. Some small body repairs and surface rust removal will need to be done before paint. There is some minor rusting in the trunk. The underside of the vehicle is solid. Floor boards are solid.

The interior looks original. Will need headliner replaced as well as upholstery and door panels. The carpet looks newer. The vehicle shows 70,212 miles. This would be a great restoration candidate or a driver ready for the road.

For its humble appearance, it’s a sleeper and runs and drives really well. It will surprise a passenger how well it goes down the road. Sold to settle and estate.
