Following WWII, Packard resumed the production of automobiles using mostly prewar bodies, until 1948, when it introduced the rounded body used from 1948 through 1950. Offered is a 1949 Packard 4 door sedan, named the ‘Delux 8’, with a higher level of trim in chrome, and the 288 cubic inch flathead inline 8 cylinder engine, and the ultramatic ( automatic) transmission, which was just beginning to gain acceptance in the market. Kept away from the elements in inside storage for 30 years.
