This car was originally found in Rochester WA by Richard Muran at a classic car dealer. He bought it and started restoring it. His best friend a navy machinist mate named Skip Downing upon Richard’s death bought it from his widow for $25,000 and started redoing all the upholstery and the insides.

Mr. Downing was a member of the classic Cadillac Club of Seattle and showed it many times.

Upon his death after 4 years I obtained the vehicle from his widow. So far I have put $4000 in getting the car in top mechanical running condition. The oil gaskets on about 30 or so parts were replaced, a new voltage regulator and fuse installed, a new muffler and other items were repaired.

The car is in good running condition. When shifting to reverse a slight pause works best for the transmission.
