This car is from the Jim Simpson collection and will make a very unique project.

Established in South East London in 1960, Heron Plastics was as a manufacturer of fiberglass body shells for Austin 7 Specials. One of their original shells was used for the Diva GT in 1961 and MBM’s Tourismo in 1962. Its was not until 1962 that Heron built their own coupe, which was first shown at the Racing Cars Show.

The 1962 Europa was built upon a steel backbone chassis with fiberglass bodywork and plywood floor pan. Powered by a Ford 4-cyl OHV 997cc or 1500cc engine, only 12 vehicle/kits were produced before the company’s closure in 1964.
