Full Size 4 Door Hardtop Touring Sedan
A highly collectible year and the last of the pre-war era design, the Hudson masterclass introduced major structural expansions, mechanical upgrades and the industry’s first “Symphonic Styling”. The Traveler was Hudson’s entry-level high-value model making surviving examples exceptionally rare today compared to the mainstream Fords and Chevys of that era.

The older finish presents beautifully overall but exhibits minor micro-blistering on select horizontal surfaces, including a small area of bubbling paint on the roof panel. (See photo). Completely presentable for local shows and touring. Clock is inoperative. Radio is inoperative. Passenger side mirror present, not mounted – included in trunk.

History : Restored in mid-1980’s, a 1991 appraisal provided by Robin Bergstrom of Bergstrom’s Antique and Classic Autos of Port Townsend WA. May 31 1991:
“A very nice original restored auto. Professional rebuilt engine. Very solid body. Paint very good. Excellent upholstery and interior. Chrome very good, a nice example of a very well cared for auto”.
Present owner (J.W.) living in Gig Harbor purchased this 1941 Hudson from Bergstrom’s in May 1991. Some years after purchase, J.W. participated in an archeological dig of Indian artefacts at the Nisqually delta. A serendipitous contact with another dig participant (P.M.) revealed this same car was owned by P.M. while a student at UW. P.M. had rebuilt the engine and provided photos to J.W. of the Hudson pre-restoration. Definite make-over!
Strictly a fair-weather ride and always housed undercover, this head turner of motorized antiquity has been seen cruising about town on nice Northwest days, Sunday ice cream outings and weekend peninsula rides with the wife. Entering classic and antique car shows over the years, this fine example of vintage fun and drivability was awarded the coveted honor of “Best Mother-in-Law Car" at the 2014 Christian Life Center Cruisin’ Sunday event, with a rear seat so comfortable and spacious, Mom-in-Law could move in!
