Built by Gary Moore of Union City, CA from 1980 to 1984. Body work was done by Paul Blast of Linden Auto Body. Motor was built by Gary Moore, a 289 cu in Cobra at about 400 HP. Model A frame, Jaguar rear end. All front suspension was hand built bt Gary Moore and Rick Cannon. A relative of Gary’s did all the chrome plating. First show car was in was the Oakland Roadster Show, placed at least 2nd overall. The car and Gary appeared in a cartoon in Street Rod magazine. Above information provided by Rick Cannon.
On 4/20/2005, Gary sold the car to Jim “Teeny” Fox whom I’ve been told was a local Bremerton celebrity in the show car and racing circles. He owned a few of them. In August 2005, the car was appraised by Thomas Lincoln Mercury at $50,000.
Sometime after his passing, Judy “Max” Alexander and I purchased the car from his widow, Pat Ward, on 2 May 2023. In the 3 years we’ve owned the car we’ve only put about 600 miles on it taking it to local shows. Current mileage is 8884 since built. For anyone who might want to ship it, it weighs 2640 lbs.
I have most registration slips since built.
