Lot #619 - 1978 Chevrolet El Camino

$0.00

The 1978 Chevrolet El Camino launched the fifth and final generation of the iconic coupe utility. It featured a lighter, downsized design built on a unique G-body platform shared with no other car, adopting sleek Malibu-inspired front styling, a 117-inch wheelbase featuring a distinct flying buttress B-pillar. This base model was equipped from factory with a 305ci V8 and later upgraded to a 350ci engine. Conquista style two-tone paint with decorative pin stripes, SS front lower valance finished off with a soft one-piece cover concealing a rubberized coated bed.

This is a very honest vehicle with no signs of rust in the usual drip rails or window channels. The undercarriage has not been repainted or undercoated to hide old repairs or excessive corrosion, other than normal surface rust to be expected from a daily driver.

The interior is clean with tasteful upgrades like a Kenwood Bluetooth head unit powering Memphis speakers. Autometer phantom gauges are all functional,  as are the wipers and blower motor. Factory tilt on Grant GT steering wheel.

Braking has been upgraded to SSBC performance billet calipers paired with vented rotors and ceramic pads mated to 15" US Mag wheels for the complete package.

Lowering spindles, aftermarket springs, and shocks provide a smooth factory-like ride with a lower center of gravity for handling. Also equipped with a light-duty towing package and rear air shocks.
