Mercedes introduced the 280SL a little less than a year after the 250SL was introduced and was well known as the “pagoda”. The Pagoda 280 very closely resembled its predecessor, using elegant clean lines, using intelligent placement of the wheels in proportion to the rest of the design.
Pagoda 280SL was powered by a 2.8-Liter overhead cam inline-6 cylinder, mated to a 4-speed automatic. The W113 cars utilized a monocoque chassis and offered Four-wheel discs brakes. A well refined cabin, leather throughout, supportive seats, and a soft top in which disappeared easily. By the time the 280 ran its course, the Pagoda established itself as one of the FINEST cars to come from the Stuttgart firm.

If any part of this contract contradicts another part, the clearest language shall rule. Should any part of this contract be found to be defective, it shall be severed, and the rest of the contract shall remain in effect.
