According to the window sticker, factory equipment includes 19-inch AMG wheels, the Active Body Control (ABC) suspension system, bi-xenon headlights, wood interior trim, heated, and ventilated multi-contour front seats, and a Bose surround sound system. Called "C215" internally, the second-generation CL was introduced for 2000 and based on the 'W220" S-Class. It lived up to its flagship positioning with a long list of luxury and technology features, including an Active Body Control (ABC) suspension system. In addition to a hand-built supercharged engine, the CL55 AMG gained a model-specific exterior design that remained relatively subtle. Production ended in 2006. Power comes from a 5.4-liter supercharged V8, rated at 493 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. Called M113K internally, the engine spins the rear wheels via a 5-speed automatic transmission.
