#136 1974 VW Super Beetle

$0.00

This 1974 VW Super Beetle was named Dolly by her current owner. The car was purchased and rebuilt by Ralph Hogan of Pleasant Harbor WA. At the time of purchase, he noticed how clean and rust-free the car was, and that there was no bondo on any of the panels. He proceeded to perform a complete restoration, taking apart the body and painting each piece with care. The interior was then reupholstered with new padding for the seats.

Ralph replaced the engine with a fresh 1920cc Empi motor. The transmission is the original 4-speed VW transmission, but new half-shafts were installed. New engine parts include carbs and the alternator. There is less than 1000 miles on the new engine. The heating system is original. The original parts come with Dolly also.

In the interior, there are added gauges and a modern thumb drive for music, phone charger, and two nice speakers sit in the back well. Under the hood has been remade with chrome and great care to match the outside of the car. Ralph put LED lights all around the front and the back to be well seen. He took great care with details.

The current owner has driven Dolly to car shows and won a trophy at the Father’s Day Car Show in Silverdale Washington. A picture is shown but, unfortunately, the actual trophy has vanished.

This 1974 VW Super Beetle is a great fun ride that will grab the attention of everyone who sees it. The owner is looking forward to handing this over to someone who can appreciate Dolly’s worth and enjoy driving her.
