Lot #123 - 1978 Oldsmobile Cutlass with Mojave Interior

$0.00

VIN: 3M47F8M544072
‍ ‍1978 Oldsmobile Cutlass with rare Mojave interior

‍ ‍This may indeed be your father’s Oldsmobile — and if so, he had very good taste, at least by seventies standards.

‍ ‍For the 1978 and 1979 model years— a decade before the company rolled out the “not your father’s Oldsmobile” slogan — Olds offered this Mojave interior on a vanishingly small number of Cutlass models.

‍ ‍This trim was only available on Supreme Brougham coupes and cost an extra $125.

‍ ‍How many were made? They definitely number in the hundreds, not thousands, for each of the two model years — a mere handful since overall Cutlass production was in six figures each year. (There were slight differences between the ’78 and ’79 Mojave trims — carpet color, seat button design — but the overall rather powerful visual impact was the same. ) This is an exceedingly rare Oldsmobile.

‍ ‍This particular model shows 67,444 miles and runs very well. The dash is all stock but there is a Sony bluetooth receiver in the glove box. The tidy engine compartment lends credence to the theory that these are original miles, and  the owner reports it has run flawlessly during the time in his custody.

‍ ‍You could look a very long time to find another Mojave-trimmed Olds Cutlass Supreme Brougham, and when you finally did it almost certainly wouldn’t be in such great condition.
