Lot #158 – 2003 Mini Cooper 2DHB ** NO RESERVE **

$0.00

VIN: WMWRC33403TC46886
2003 Mini Cooper 2DHB:
I drove the yellow mini off the showroom floor at Herb Chambers mini in Boston in the summer of 2003. I had many adventures in it all over the Northeast and commuted regularly to New York in it, twisting and turning down the Merritt parkway merging onto the West side highway and parking in a garage right off times square where I got to know the attendant and he gave me special treatment. Then it followed me to California and took me to wonderful destinations in the north including Angels Camp Stinson Beach and point Reyes. It accumulated very few miles for its age because I was always hobbying around with other cars. But the funny thing is, whatever I bought, however exotic and sporty it notionally was, I would then hop back in the Mini and think, this is so much more fun and so much better a car. So it sort of became my benchmark. As the years went on I used it less, and in Arizona I used it very little because the weather was so unforgiving that the sunroof made it difficult to keep cool and as Tucson became hotter, the amount of time in a given year that I could use it became less and less. I will miss it, it is a soul.
