Lot #277 - 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser

$0.00

VIN: 3C4FY48B14T257550
Bought at the end of 2017 from a Craigslist ad. The seller was one of those guys who went to auctions and bought cars cheaply and flipped them. He did the timing belt and water pump. It had 105,000 mi on it at the time. It had clearly been loved and I think possibly went to auction from an estate. The disc wheels and Moon hubcaps fit the car better than any wheels I've ever seen on one. It was my wife's car. We bought it in San Francisco, she packed the family and some belongings into it and drove to our new home in Tucson. Our beta fish rode along on the rear floor. We had it ever since and she put 60,000 mi on it in the Arizona desert and it never missed a beat. It literally went to the shop once or twice in 7 years, once it was stalling at idle and once it needed a new thermostat. For all of the bad press they get, it was the most reliable car I've ever owned. They are also like a Swiss army knife. The way you can take out the rear seats and the cavernous storage area that results it's sportier and more fun to drive than any SUV I've ever driven, with that Dodge neon platform underlying it. A wonderful car and we will miss it deeply.
